Dear Sir:

I located information available on the Internet regarding the Tortuga.
My father, Allen Evans Kelly served on the USS Tortuga in 1945/1946.

Recently I was discussing the fact that I had some pictures and military memorabilia from his scrap book I wanted to get some clarification on.
He was unaware that his scrap book was still in existence. I took it to him and he had a nice time rummaging through his memories. I want to obtain as much information for him as I can regarding the Tortuga. Thanks to the Internet I've obtained the disposition of the vessel which he was unaware.
I have pictures of shipmate, a portion of the ship at dock, the ship mascot, Fuji, and other memorabilia. If there is an interest I would be happy to scan these and provide copies.

Thank you for your assistance,

Candace M. Wilkins

Here are the photos I wanted you to have. The two with multiple men in them I don't know who is who in them. The Military Portrait is my Father Allen Evans Kelly in 1945 or 1946. The handsome fella in the jacket is last name of Christian and was a "Oil King" and was a "tall, scrappy guy from Texas."
My dad said he was always getting into one scrap or another! The dog's name was "Fuji," I am not absolutely sure that was how they spelled it though, and was the ship mascot. I hope you enjoy these.
